ABOUT US
Cross Trails Hostel opened in June of 2021 under the ownership of Potomac Area Hostels Inc. (PAC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The property has operated as a youth hostel since the early 1970s and has accommodated thousands of travelers, hikers, and cyclists worldwide.

Harpers Ferry and the surrounding areas are jam-packed with things to do. Whether you’re looking for an adrenaline rush or a romantic dinner date, you have options. Towering cliffs and whitewater rafting are just down the road, but so are wineries, brunch, and history tours if that's more your speed.
Brandt – Brandt Kindness, AKA “Peak Freak,” is a strapping young outdoor enthusiast who has managed Cross Trails Hostel since 2021. As a certified raft guide, he enjoys whitewater sports on the river. As an AT & PCT thru-hiker, he has logged 4,000+ miles on US trails. Whether you are looking for somewhere to grab a bite to eat or go for a dip, Brandt knows the area and can point you in the right direction.
